Level 1 is for anyone that has adopted or acquired a new dog or puppy. Puppies must be 12 weeks or older to attend classes

Our trainers will provide easy-to-understand instructions and be by your side to help you excel.  You will get a training manual as well as a weekly recap video of your class to help you out at home.

Your weekly recap video will provide everything we did that week in class so that you do not fall behind.

Levels 1, 2 and 3 are  7-week courses where you attend class for 1 hour every week, same day of the week and at the same time.  You bring your dog every week and we get right to work on week 1.

Absolutely! We want nothing more than for you to have 100% success with our training. If you do not understand something or have issues with anything, please ask. Your trainers are available while you are on site and we are just an email or phone call away for any help you need at home in between classes.

No professional dog trainer will guarantee results. What we can guarantee is that you will receive a training program that has decades of experience behind it and our trainers will do everything they can to ensure your success. But true success involves all the work that needs to go on at home. You can not come to class for 1 hour a week and do nothing else until the next class and expect results. Dog training requires repetitions, many, many repetitions for your dog to fully understand.

You will need to do a few training sessions every day for approx 10 minutes to make your dog understand their new behaviours.

The old saying that old dogs can not learn new tricks is so far from the truth! We work with a ton of rescue dogs and have phenomenal success. Level 1 is for any dog that has not taken formal obedience training before or needs a refresher.

Absolutely! Your dog lives with the whole family and everyone should be involved in the family dogs training. The only thing we insist on is that only 1 person works your dog at a time so your dog does not get confused. For safety reasons, we ask that children only interact with their own family’s dog and no others.

A six-foot leash, regular flat collar (harnesses are OK but you will still need a regular flat collar), at least 3 different high-value soft treats, few toys and a dog bed.

We follow the recommended vaccination protocol from the Ontario Veterinary College. All dogs entering a group class must be up to date with rabies, parvovirus, distemper, and Bordetella (kennel cough). Puppies not old enough to receive certain vaccines are exempted.

Aww the perfect solution for a pesky issue your dog is driving you crazy with. It is the enrollment into our level 1 or 2 program and 2 in-home private lessons.

Nothing, they are the exact same curriculum, taught in the exact same way.

Caledonia has 10 dogs per class. Hamilton/Burlington SPCA has 8 dogs per class. All classes have a minimum of 2 trainers.
