Your Dog’s Home Away from Home for Stress-Free Boarding

Going out of town for business or a holiday?

We know how stressful it can be to find someone trustworthy to care for your dog. At K9 Principles, we offer your companion a home away from home with our in-home boarding, providing a warm and cozy environment instead of a cold, impersonal kennel.

Where Your Dog Is Family

With our in-home boarding, your dog will stay with us as part of our family, not just a guest. We understand that dogs are social creatures who thrive on human interaction and companionship with other dogs. That’s why, during their stay, they’ll have plenty of chances to engage with us and any other friendly pups. They’ll be loved, pampered, and treated just like our own.

A Secure Backyard and Non-Stop Fun

We have a large, securely fenced backyard with preventative measures to keep even the most curious dogs from digging their way out. We only take a limited number of dogs at a time to ensure each guest receives individual attention and care.

Tailored Care for Every Dog

We understand that each dog is unique. If your pet has allergies or needs medication, we’re happy to follow your instructions to the letter. In the rare event of an emergency, we’ll use your preferred veterinarian to provide care if they are available. Feeding raw? We have extensive experience in feeding raw food diets, so whatever your dog’s feeding routine, we’ve got it covered.

Dedicated Space for Small Dogs

We know that small dogs often prefer the company of dogs their size. That’s why we have a separate, dedicated home for the smaller dogs, ensuring they have appropriate companions to socialize and play with.

Important Requirements For a Happy and Healthy Stay

We want to ensure every dog has a safe and enjoyable experience during their stay with us. To make that possible, it’s essential that your dog is friendly and able to comfortably get along with other dogs in a group setting.

We follow the Ontario Veterinary College’s recommended vaccination protocol, which means all dogs boarding with us must be up to date on rabies, parvovirus, distemper, and Bordetella (kennel cough).

For puppies, we require that they’ve had their second set of vaccinations before joining the fun.

Since we care about the health of every guest, we also ask that your dog is on flea prevention during the spring, summer, and autumn months.

Affordable Peace of Mind

Are you wondering about the cost? Our in-home boarding service is available for $60 per day. For $60, you can leave with no worry about your pet’s well-being and care. Please note, that if you pick up your dog after 12 pm, there will be a small additional fee of $25.
